Ink-Tegrity is a local tattoo shop, bustling and vibrant and clean. It is bursting with creative young energy - tattoers and piercers and barbers and helping hands flowing in and out of the open-concept rooms, exchanging ideas, supporting each other's work, and having a good time in the meantime.
When I found out they were hosting a fundraising flash tattoo day, where all proceeds from a full day's worth of tattoos would go to a charity - and Loving Spoonful being the charity of choice for this first event - I was hooked.
The event ran 12-6pm this Sunday, and the crew were ready to WORK HARD. There were boxes of complimentary donuts, tall cups of coffee for the artists, an array of flash selections by each artist to choose from, and a full waiting room of eager folks waiting to name their piece and put it on skin.
I dropped in for a couple of hours and took some photographs of the people who made this thing a success. At the end of it all, Ink-Tegrity handed over a giant check in the sum of $1825.00 to Loving Spoonful. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon.
Take a look at the photographs, and make sure you stay tuned for their next charity event in a few months, so you can get some ink with integrity, and help out the community at the same time.
Many thanks also to täzo bath co for donating all sales from their after-care products to this fundraiser.
